Income Tax Accountant

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting both income tax compliance and financial reporting processes in a dynamic corporate environment. Working closely with accounting, legal, and operational teams, you’ll help ensure accurate tax reporting, maintain audit-ready documentation, and contribute to strategic process improvements through automation, data analytics, and standardization initiatives. Location: Open to remote (West Coast ideal)

Compensation

Range: $60,000-$85,000; Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws. What You’ll Do Prepare federal and multistate income tax workpapers and supporting schedules Support quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740 Assist with estimated tax payments, reconciliations, and tax analyses Research tax positions and analyze impacts of business activities and tax law changes Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits Identify opportunities for process improvements through automation and data analytics Work with large data sets to support tax reporting and compliance What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or progress toward CPA preferred 1–3 years of tax, accounting, or related experience preferred Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 740 concepts Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in Excel and experience working with large data sets Experience with ERP or tax software systems preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment We offer best in class industry benefits: Competitive pay Medical, Dental and Vision Plans Paid Holidays & PTO Short and Long-Term Disability Paid Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Stock Purchase Plan Lithia Learning Center Vehicle Purchase Discounts Wellness Programs For a more detailed view, visit: www.totalrewards.lithiadriveway.com.
