Responsibilities

As an experienced Full Stack Developer, we're not just looking for someone who can write good code. We want someone who understands how all the pieces fit together, from frontend experiences to backend systems, and can do more than just contribute. We need someone who can help drive innovation and build world-class accountability solutions for our Members and their Allies. We want someone with strong architectural instincts, a product mindset, and a passion for building scalable, maintainable systems. Collaborate with multiple team throughout the organization to translate high-level requirements into thoughtful end-to-end solutions. You won’t just implement features; you’ll help define the technical approach and influence product direction. Design, build, and maintain both frontend and backend systems, ensuring seamless user experiences and reliable application performance across the stack. Partner closely with Mobile, QA, and Platform teams to define APIs, integration points, and shared architectural patterns that support our growing ecosystem of applications and services. Uphold and evolve our coding standards. You will champion clean architecture, conduct meaningful code reviews, and ensure the codebase remains maintainable and scalable. Write high-quality, testable code across the stack, balancing rapid delivery with long-term sustainability. Tackle complex technical challenges ranging from responsive user interfaces and application performance to distributed systems, data modeling, and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience Minimum of 3 years professional experience developing software Strong experience designing and developing backend services using Node.js, including RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures Experience with frontend development using TypeScript and frameworks such as Vue.js or React Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, and Azure Pipelines Superior programming, analytical and problem-solving skills in creating object oriented, event driven, multi-threaded software Solid understanding of software engineering principles and the software development process A proven passion for creating software with excellence and innovation Self-motivated and able to collaborate with a diverse set of people from many disciplines Would also be great if you had: Commercial software development experience SQL/MySQL Docker and Kubernetes GitHub Actions AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Test Driven Development Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods maintaining a stationary position, operating computer equipment, and inputting data Ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings Ability to exchange accurate information clearly in written and verbal formats Frequent travel or on-site work may be required for meetings, collaboration, or company events Ability to lift, move, and transport general office materials (up to 20lbs), with or without reasonable accommodations This position is offered as a full-time distributed (remote) position, and we are flexible in our work-day, but it is our company expectation that you would be available to your team most of the work day for best collaboration. Covenant Eyes is located in the Eastern Time Zone as are most of the staff. Core hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST/EDT.
