Senior Tax Attorney (remote)

This is not a traditional law firm role. There are no billable hour targets, no unnecessary bureaucracy, and no legacy systems to fight against. Instead, you'll work alongside exceptional lawyers, engineers and product specialists to create a faster, smarter and more scalable way of delivering first-class legal advice. As the firm's first dedicated Tax Attorney, you will have the rare opportunity to build an entire practice area from the ground up, shaping both the legal offering and the technology that powers it. The Opportunity You will lead on a broad range of tax matters for an exciting and diverse client base, from venture-backed startups and founders through to high-growth technology businesses and established public companies. Beyond advising clients, you'll play a key role in designing AI-enhanced workflows, creating internal knowledge systems, and helping develop the firm's next generation of legal products. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building, innovating and challenging the traditional model of legal practice. What You'll Be Doing
- Establishing and growing the firm's tax practice as its first dedicated tax specialist.
- Advising clients across a wide range of federal, state and transactional tax matters.
- Working closely with founders, executives and in-house legal teams at some of the most exciting technology companies in the market.
- Collaborating with corporate, commercial and product teams on transactions and strategic initiatives with significant tax implications.
- Leveraging advanced AI tools and proprietary technology to streamline legal delivery and create exceptional client experiences.
- Helping build internal tax playbooks, automation frameworks and knowledge management systems that will shape the future of the practice.
About You
- 5+ years' experience practising tax law.
- Background at a leading law firm or advising sophisticated growth-stage and technology clients.
- Strong technical ability combined with excellent commercial judgement.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Curious about the intersection of law, technology and artificial intelligence.
- A confident communicator who enjoys building trusted relationships with founders, executives and internal stakeholders.
- Someone who wants to help create the future of legal services, rather than simply work within the existing model.
