Remote Game Designer - AAA Titles

Join a globally recognized game development studio as a Remote Game Designer, contributing to the creation of groundbreaking AAA titles. • Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize, design, and document core game mechanics, player progression systems, and level layouts. Create detailed design specifications, flowcharts, and wireframes for new game features and systems. Collaborate closely with engineers, artists, and producers to implement and refine game designs. Iterate on designs based on playtesting feedback, data analysis, and team input. Ensure design consistency and maintainability across the entire game project. Proactively identify and address design challenges and opportunities to enhance player engagement and retention. Contribute to the overall vision and narrative direction of the game. Maintain a deep understanding of current gaming trends, player preferences, and competitor titles. Effectively communicate design ideas and rationale to both technical and non-technical team members. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to the development process.
• Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Game Designer on at least one shipped title, preferably in the AAA space. Strong portfolio showcasing game design concepts, mechanics, and documentation. In-depth knowledge of game design principles, including systems design, level design, and player psychology. Proficiency with game design documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Google Docs, Miro) and game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Passion for video games and a keen eye for detail. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Lua, Python) is a plus. Familiarity with player analytics and A/B testing methodologies.
