Booz Allen Hamilton is a leading consulting firm, and they are seeking a Test Engineer to assemble and fabricate electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. The role involves operating machinery, troubleshooting electronic systems, and leading tasks while mentoring others.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fabricate electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment
  • Operate mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling
  • Contribute new knowledge to programs or projects
  • Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and practical application of the general and specific technical aspects of the job to complete varied and complex work
  • Make recommendations for new procedures
  • Work independently within established procedures and practices
  • Lead tasks and informally mentor others

Skills

  • Experience as an electrical 120 Volt single phase power technician
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electronic system malfunctions and failures
  • Experience in soldering and printed circuit card rework
  • Knowledge of electrical safety, including following established safety practices and requirements
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment, including oscilloscope, voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, and frequency generator
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
  • Electronics Technician Certification
