Workday Financials Consultant

The Workday Financials Consultant role involves managing project work streams, analytics, reporting, and client presentations while mentoring junior staff and utilizing Huron's methodologies in enterprise software implementation.

Skills
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or commensurate work experience
- Minimum 1- 2 years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, higher education, and/or accounting
- Previous experience implementing Workday with a focus on Record to Report (R2R)
- Workday Certification is a PLUS
- Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments
- Functional expertise in regulations and processes; understanding of higher ed financials requirements across various types of institutions
- Demonstrated knowledge in academic structure, organizational assessment, and strategic planning
- Exceptional advanced Excel skills (including modeling and macros)
- An MBA or other relevant advanced degree
- Expertise in the Financials function, processes and best practices
- Experience as a functional application specialist
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written - and the interpersonal skills needed quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration
- The ability to establish credibility in the eyes of senior-level university executives on the basis of expertise, maturity, and professionalism
- The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project-management and technical dimensions
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects of differing scale and duration
- Strong analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation that can be shared with meeting participants and project teams
- A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies
