Seasonal Operations Technician

Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager and under the direction of Operations personnel, the Seasonal Operations Technician provides a wide range of superior technical assistance/support to live and taped studio and remote productions, particularly in the areas of Master Control and feed acquisition.We believe in the potential within every individual. If you're passionate about this role, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the requirements that are listed within this job description.Please note: Open to someone looking for Part Time (20-35 hours/week)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Operate network's automated playback system and manipulate multiple on-air playlists simultaneously for live event and remote programmingRecord incoming satellite and fiber feeds, including incoming programming and live eventsLog programming and event materials to ensure fulfillment of sales and programming commitmentsIngest commercials into network's servers and prep for airTrack all live event times, commercial times and discrepanciesArchive recordsEdit and prepare all live events for rebroadcastsConsistently improve technical skills and work towards becoming one of NESN's Master Control expertsWork weekends, nights, holidays and overnight shifts as neededOther duties and projects as assigned by supervisorQualifications:Two years television experience or one year Master Control experience a plus but willing to train the right candidate.Ability to excel in a highly technical environment and learn new technologies quicklyExcellent organizational skills and must be extremely detail-orientedAbility to successfully work in a fast paced, loosely structured environmentMust have strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, and possess a positive "can-do" attitudeMust be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work effectively within a team environmentMust be able to work weekends, nights (including overnight shifts) and holidays as neededMust embrace the NESN Core Values; People, Customer Focus, Adaptability, Teamwork, Diversity, Integrity, Accountability, Passion, Social ResponsibilityThe expected range for this position is $18 to $19 per hour.
