About arenaflex – Pioneering Real‑World Evidence in Healthcare

arenaflex is a global leader in health‑focused data science, delivering actionable insights that shape the future of patient care. Our mission is to turn everyday health data into powerful evidence that drives better outcomes for patients, providers, and pharmaceutical innovators. With a collaborative culture that blends cutting‑edge technology, rigorous scientific methodology, and a deep commitment to ethical data stewardship, arenaflex offers a dynamic environment where every team member can make a tangible impact on the world of clinical research.

Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Part‑Time Data Entry & Real‑World Evidence (RWE) Analyst at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our evidence‑generation engine. You will transform raw, heterogeneous data sets into clean, structured, and analysis‑ready information that fuels groundbreaking studies on treatment effectiveness, safety, and cost‑utility. Your work will directly support internal research teams and external biopharma partners, helping them answer critical questions about real‑world patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Extraction & Normalization: Mine raw data collections from internal databases, electronic health records (EHR), claims systems, and public repositories. Convert these sources into a unified data lake, ensuring consistency and readiness for downstream analysis.
  • Data Cleaning & Curation: Apply rigorous data‑quality checks, de‑duplicate records, resolve inconsistencies, and enforce privacy‑preserving transformations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Analytical Support: Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) using R, Python, or SQL to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies that inform study design and hypothesis generation.
  • Collaboration with Clinical Teams: Partner with arenaflex’s Clinical Research scientists to translate clinical questions into data‑driven solutions, providing insights on disease prevalence, treatment pathways, and health‑economic outcomes.
  • Dashboard & Reporting Development: Build interactive visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, or Spotfire that communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all RWE deliverables meet high standards of accuracy, reproducibility, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, GCP, CFR).
  • Methodology Documentation: Document data pipelines, transformation logic, and analytical methods to support auditability and knowledge transfer across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data ingestion processes, introduce new data sources, and adopt emerging analytics tools that increase efficiency and insight depth.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience with at least one of the following programming languages: R, Python, or SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute reproducible statistical analyses, particularly in the context of observational health data.
  • Familiarity with common statistical modeling techniques, including regression, classification trees, clustering, time‑series analysis, and survival analysis.
  • Experience handling large, multi‑source datasets and ensuring data integrity throughout the ETL (Extract‑Transform‑Load) lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR) and proven experience working with protected health information (PHI).
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or Tableau for creating clear, actionable visual reports.

Preferred (But Not Required) Skills

  • Advanced expertise in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, health‑IT standards, and claims data structures.
  • Understanding of clinical terminologies and ontologies (ICD‑9/10, SNOMED CT, Read Codes) and ability to map raw data to these vocabularies.
  • Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory frameworks governing real‑world evidence studies.
  • Background in study design, Bayesian modeling, longitudinal data analysis, or machine‑learning pipelines applied to health data.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and a willingness to self‑direct learning in emerging analytical techniques.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to think critically, ask the right questions, and translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Detail Orientation: Meticulous attention to data quality, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to convey technical findings to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external partners.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively in cross‑functional teams, respecting diverse perspectives and fostering a shared sense of purpose.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with a fast‑paced, remote work environment and the ability to pivot quickly as project priorities evolve.
  • Ethical Integrity: Commitment to safeguarding patient privacy and upholding the highest standards of scientific rigor.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its team members. In this role, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior data scientists and clinical researchers who are leaders in the RWE space.
  • Sponsored certifications (e.g., Certified Health Data Analyst, AWS Data Analytics) and tuition reimbursement for advanced degrees.
  • Regular internal workshops on emerging topics such as causal inference, federated learning, and advanced visualization techniques.
  • Opportunities to present findings at industry conferences, co‑author publications, and contribute to thought leadership pieces.
  • A clear promotion pathway from Analyst to Senior Analyst, then to Data Science Lead or Project Manager, based on performance and impact.
