Why This Role Matters

Our customers rely on arenaflex Cloud to modernize their infrastructure, accelerate product development, and achieve operational excellence. As a Customer Engineer, you will be the trusted technical advisor who bridges the gap between cutting‑edge cloud technology and real‑world business challenges. You will help prospective and existing clients understand the strategic value of arenaflex Cloud, design innovative solutions, and remove technical roadblocks that could impede their success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers to gather technical requirements, diagnose challenges, and propose tailored arenaflex Cloud architectures.
  • Conduct live product demonstrations, proof‑of‑concept workshops, and solution‑design sessions that showcase the power of arenaflex Cloud services.
  • Develop migration strategies, implementation roadmaps, and cost‑optimization plans that align with customer goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Support teams to relay customer feedback, influence product roadmaps, and ensure seamless delivery of technical resources.
  • Provide hands‑on guidance on infrastructure components such as compute, storage, networking, virtualization, containers, and security controls.
  • Assist customers in adopting best practices for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Travel virtually to customer sites, webinars, and industry events as needed to deepen relationships and expand arenaflex’s market presence.
  • Document case studies, technical whitepapers, and success stories that highlight the impact of arenaflex Cloud solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a solutions engineer, technical sales engineer, or systems engineer in a cloud‑focused environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with traditional data‑center technologies (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration, scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell), and networking fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex cloud architectures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and configuration management platforms (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (arenaflex Cloud, AWS, Azure) and their core services (compute, storage, databases, networking, security).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (IAM, encryption, identity federation, compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift) and serverless technologies.
  • Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to dissect complex technical issues, propose pragmatic solutions, and guide customers through implementation.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Passion for delivering exceptional service and building long‑term relationships based on trust and value.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who can coordinate across sales, engineering, product, and support functions.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating fast‑changing technology landscapes and learning new tools quickly.
