About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, entry‑level Remote Data Scientist to join our growing analytics team. In this role, you will apply sophisticated data‑science techniques, machine‑learning algorithms, and cloud‑based tools to turn massive data sets into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners—including finance, product, engineering, and senior leadership—to translate complex analytical findings into clear, strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using machine‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit‑Learn.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to build robust data pipelines on Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and other cloud platforms, ensuring data quality and scalability.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, and statistical testing to uncover hidden patterns and business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain visualizations and dashboards using Python libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn) and BI tools to communicate insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Implement and evaluate classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly‑detection algorithms—including decision trees, XGBoost, K‑means, and Bayesian methods.
  • Participate in A/B testing design, execution, and analysis to validate the impact of data‑driven initiatives.
  • Write clean, modular code and follow best practices in version control (GitHub), CI/CD, and agile development.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time (domestic or international) to support on‑site projects, stakeholder workshops, and data‑science conferences.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience working with large‑scale datasets, either through internships, co‑ops, or professional roles.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with PySpark or similar distributed computing frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Solid foundation in statistical modeling, probability theory, and experimental design.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, evaluate, and interpret machine‑learning models, including supervised (linear/logistic regression, SVM, decision trees) and unsupervised techniques (clustering, PCA).
  • Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and familiarity with data‑warehouse technologies such as Snowflake.
  • Strong communication skills—able to translate technical concepts into business‑focused narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments, prioritize competing demands, and deliver high‑quality results on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Applied Mathematics).
  • Hands‑on experience with deep‑learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs) and reinforcement learning.
  • Exposure to Internet of Things (IoT) data streams and Edge AI deployments.
  • Background in health‑care analytics, pharmacy operations, or related domains.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing platforms, causal inference methods, and experiment tracking tools.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to apply rigorous statistical techniques to solve complex business problems.
  • Programming Excellence: Clean, maintainable code in Python; comfortable with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Data Engineering Insight: Understanding of ETL processes, data lake architecture, and cloud‑based data pipelines.
  • Business Acumen: Insight into retail pharmacy operations, supply‑chain dynamics, and customer behavior.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives that turn data insights into strategic actions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with product managers, engineers, finance analysts, and senior leadership.
  • Continuous Learning: Passion for staying current with emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices in data science.

  • Sponsored certifications in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and advanced analytics tools.
  • Opportunities to lead high‑impact projects that directly influence company strategy.
  • Internal mobility programs that allow you to explore roles in product analytics, AI research, or data engineering.
  • Regular participation in hackathons, data‑science meetups, and conferences.
