At arenaflex, we're transforming how advertisers reach and resonate with their audiences across one of the most vibrant online platforms in the world. We're seeking an experienced Client Account Manager to lead our CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) vertical within the Large Customer Sales division—a key role that will drive campaign success, foster strategic partnerships, and help brands achieve their marketing objectives on our innovative platform.

This position requires candidates to be based in person in Chicago, enabling face-to-face collaboration with our Client Partners, agency teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. If you're passionate about advertising, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to make a meaningful impact in the digital marketing landscape, we want to hear from you.

About arenaflex: The Platform Where Communities Converge

At arenaflex, we believe in the power of community-driven conversations. Our platform has become a hub for authentic connections, where millions of people come together to share experiences, seek advice, and discover new products and brands. For advertisers, this represents an unparalleled opportunity to engage with highly engaged audiences in meaningful ways. As a Client Account Manager, you'll be at the forefront of connecting leading CPG brands with this dynamic community, crafting campaigns that drive both awareness and measurable business results.

Our Large Customer Sales team works with top-tier agencies and advertisers across verticals, and the CPG vertical is a critical area of growth. We're looking for a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of the consumer goods industry, understand the marketing funnel, and deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Role Overview: What You'll Do

As a Client Account Manager specializing in the CPG vertical, you will serve as the primary day-to-day contact for key client accounts, working closely with Client Partners to execute campaigns from concept to completion. Your role is multifaceted, requiring a balance of strategic thinking, relationship management, and operational excellence. You'll be responsible for ensuring that campaigns are launched successfully, optimized continuously, and deliver maximum value to our advertising partners.

Your collaboration will extend across multiple teams, including Client Partners, Ad Operations, creative teams, and internal stakeholders. You'll be the bridge that connects client objectives with platform capabilities, translating marketing goals into actionable strategies. This role demands someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Campaign Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Client Partners to develop and execute comprehensive advertising campaigns that align with client marketing objectives. From campaign brief to launch to ongoing optimization, you'll ensure every touchpoint delivers value.
  • Campaign Execution & Optimization: Lead end-to-end campaign launches, managing timelines, creative assets, targeting parameters, and tracking implementation. Continuously monitor performance metrics and deliver actionable optimization recommendations to maximize ROI.
  • Account Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day account operations, including revenue delivery tracking, invoice management, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Ensure seamless campaign delivery and resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Client Education & Advocacy: Educate brands and media agencies on platform capabilities, value propositions, and best practices. Effectively communicate how CPG brands can leverage our platform to achieve awareness and direct response objectives.
  • Strategic Consultation: Consult with clients on their marketing objectives, including awareness campaigns, product launches, and direct response initiatives. Partner with Client Partners to craft thoughtful, creative media plans that drive results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Ad Operations to ensure flawless campaign delivery, addressing technical challenges and implementing solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to represent client needs and advocate for shared success.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with external partners, including agencies and advertisers. Become a trusted advisor who adds value beyond the scope of individual campaigns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes, campaign strategies, and client service. Bring forward innovative ideas that enhance campaign performance and client satisfaction.
  • Revenue Growth: Contribute to revenue targets by identifying upsell opportunities, expanding account penetration, and ensuring client retention. Understand client business objectives and position platform solutions accordingly.

Essential Qualifications: What We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate with a proven track record in advertising sales and account management, particularly within the CPG vertical. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the consumer goods industry, the marketing funnel, and the evolving digital advertising ecosystem.

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in advertising sales and account management, with specific experience working with CPG clients preferred. You'll understand the unique challenges and opportunities in the consumer goods space.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the customer marketing funnel, from awareness to consideration to conversion. Knowledge of traditional marketing ecosystems and how digital fits into the broader marketing mix.
  • Analytical Skills: Comfortable tackling problems of diverse scope, where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. You should be able to interpret campaign performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of digital measurement, tracking fundamentals, and mobile measurement partners. Familiarity with ad servers, DSPs, and tracking technologies is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A tenacious and entrepreneurial approach to working through product, process, and client challenges. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and finding creative solutions.
  • Relationship Skills: Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships with external partners, including agencies, advertisers, and internal stakeholders. You should be a natural collaborator who builds trust quickly.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You should be able to present confidently, persuade stakeholders, and articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and unstructured work environment. You should be comfortable with change and able to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in all aspects of work, from campaign setup to client communication. You should take pride in delivering flawless execution.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel required; experience with Google Docs, Salesforce, and other tools preferred.
  • Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
