Systems Engineer – kcp & Multicluster Cloud Ecosystem (m/w/d)

Your mission As part of our engineering team, you will drive the development and support of next-generation multicluster environments and their ecosystems. You will help us maintain the backbone of our advanced control plane ecosystem, bridging classic cloud infrastructure with cutting-edge API machinery in an open-source way. kube-bind (kube-bind.io). Ecosystem Support: Provide high-tier technical support and runtime project management for our multicluster control plane ecosystem. Storage Integration: Connect cloud infrastructure with software-defined storage; hands-on experience with Ceph is highly beneficial here. Upstream Contribution: Actively collaborate with the open-source communities behind kcp, kube-bind, and Ceph. You will submit PRs, track upstream issues, and help shape the projects we rely on. Automation & GitOps: Build and maintain scalable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and GitOps pipelines to ensure our operations are repeatable and secure. Your profile Core Expertise: Strong background in Kubernetes control plane architecture, API machinery, and multicluster runtime ecosystems. Specialized Knowledge: Direct experience or deep familiarity with kcp and kube-bind. Open-Source Mindset: You enjoy working transparently, collaborating with upstream maintainers, and giving back to the community. Code contributions to CNCF or open-source projects are a massive plus.
