As a community health hub, arenaflex serves roughly 10 million customers each day, providing a wide range of pharmacy services, health‑screening programs, and personalized care solutions. Joining arenaflex means becoming part of a purpose‑driven organization that values innovation, compassion, and the well‑being of both its customers and its employees.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s rapidly evolving health‑care environment, accurate data entry and rigorous compliance oversight are critical to safeguarding patient safety and maintaining regulatory integrity. As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will be at the heart of the prescriber assessment process, ensuring that prescription data, controlled‑substance orders, and Good Faith Dispensing (GFD) activities are meticulously recorded, analyzed, and reported. Your work will directly support the Integrity and Patient Safety teams, help mitigate risk, and enable arenaflex’s pharmacists and managers to make informed, compliant decisions that protect both patients and the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prescriber Evaluation Coordination: Review and organize Prescriber Evaluation Referral Forms (PERF), gather internal and external prescribing data, and manage timely mailings to prescribers and patients.
  • Communication Management: Create, release, and track COMPASS and RHM communications, ensuring that all stakeholders receive accurate updates within defined timeframes.
  • Ad‑Hoc Reporting: Generate custom reports for the prescriber assessment crew and provide data visualizations to the Integrity and Patient Safety teams.
  • Controlled‑Substance Order Review: Research and analyze managed‑substance orders at the store level, identify suspicious patterns, and advise stores on proper ordering practices.
  • DEA Reporting: Compile and submit reports to DEA dealers on stores dispensing patterns and prescriber or patient profiles within a 48‑hour window.
  • Data Extraction & Query Building: Build ad‑hoc queries to pull data beyond standard reporting requirements, supporting deeper investigations and trend analysis.
  • Policy Knowledge Maintenance: Stay current on managed‑substance ordering policies, GFD guidelines, and DEA licensing requirements; serve as a point of contact for stores and compliance leadership.
  • Audit Support: Assist analysts in developing and reviewing store audits for managed‑substance losses, collaborating with Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors to ensure accurate, timely loss reporting.
  • Prescriber Pricing Tool Management: Validate and update prescriber data within the pricing decision tool, working closely with pharmacists to confirm legitimate prescription blocks.
  • GFD Policy Implementation: Support the rollout and ongoing updates of Good Faith Dispensing and Targeted Drug Good Faith Dispensing policies across the network.
  • Technical Proficiency Utilization: Leverage advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and database querying skills to assist analysts in creating presentations and training materials for store staff and leadership.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience as a pharmacy technician or in a comparable data‑entry role within a health‑care setting.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential obtained through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
  • Demonstrated experience with prescriber licensing requirements, including NPI, DEA, and state licenses.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands‑on experience querying databases (SQL or similar) to extract, manipulate, and analyze data sets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to read and interpret data, identify trends, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences ranging from store staff to senior compliance leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with arenaflex internal systems such as SIMS (Store Information Management System) and IC+ (Integrated Communications).
  • Experience with arenaflex‑specific managed‑substance ordering platforms (e.g., PDQ®, RxQuick Order, Passport).
  • Prior involvement in Good Faith Dispensing initiatives or similar compliance programs.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting processes for DEA and state health authorities.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry and document management to avoid errors that could impact compliance.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to assess complex ordering patterns and make sound judgments on potential risks.
  • Time Management: Efficiently handle multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain high productivity in a remote environment.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with pharmacists, store managers, compliance analysts, and cross‑functional teams across the nation.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfortable navigating multiple software platforms, learning new tools quickly, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Customer‑Focused Mindset: Understanding of how data integrity directly influences patient safety and overall customer experience.
