We're currently seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support our IT Facilities Group — a team responsible for the backbone infrastructure that powers enterprise communication and computing environments. Position Overview

Job Title: IT Business Analyst – Data Center & Remote Communication Room Operations Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time Work Hours: 8 hours per day, with flexibility for varying shifts and on-call support as needed Industry: Private – Information Technology & Critical Infrastructure Salary: $27 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits Primary Location: Atlanta, USA (remote-friendly work model available)

As an IT Business Analyst with arenaflex, you will provide IT governance, professional services coordination, project management, and operational support to ensure the functional sustainability of the critical infrastructure that supports our enterprise communication and data environments. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis and technical operations, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will take ownership of the following core duties within arenaflex's IT Facilities Group:

  • IT Governance & Site Execution: Oversee IT governance of all site implementations, inventory management, system planning, and lifecycle tracking for critical infrastructure across data centers, IT certification labs, and remote communication rooms.
  • Preventative & Break-Fix Maintenance: Coordinate preventative maintenance strategies and break-fix services for server farm critical infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and operational continuity.
  • IT Lab Support: Provide IT support for testing environments, ensuring application and engineering teams have access to workstations, hardware, and resources needed to test and validate their applications.
  • Remote Coordination: Partner with professional services teams to coordinate critical infrastructure maintenance and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms across multiple sites.
  • Infrastructure Management & Monitoring: Manage, operate, maintain, and monitor all critical facilities infrastructure for data centers and remote communication room equipment.
  • Standards Development: Develop and refine data center and remote communication room standards for space allocation, power distribution, cooling systems, and physical layer IT infrastructure.
  • Fiber Ring Maintenance: Support the IT Facilities campus fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the Atlanta airport and campus facilities underground fiber infrastructure.
  • Policy & Compliance: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Capital Project Management: Lead project management efforts for data center and remote communication room capital upgrades, refreshes, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Vendor Selection & Oversight: Source and select IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, competitive pricing, and vendor accountability for contractual commitments.

Minimum Qualifications – What You Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective communication and relationships with leadership, vendors, and cross-functional peers.
  • Solid knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure.
  • Experience with project management for remote communication room standards, capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Proficiency in capital forecasting and project management for airport critical equipment life-cycle replacement.
  • Ability to support corporate real estate projects involving remote communication room design and construction, serving as an IT Facilities representative and providing on-site assessment reporting.
  • Expertise in space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management.
  • Skilled in the selection of critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, competitive pricing, and vendor accountability.
  • Experience managing the design, implementation, and vendor support of electrical power, A/C, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs for communication rooms.
  • Ability to provide proactive and break-fix support for alert and ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.
  • Commitment to functional sustainability of critical airport environmental systems.
  • Experience developing design standards for remote communication room space, UPS, HVAC, generators, and Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems.
  • Capability for remote coordination of airport critical infrastructure maintenance and break-fix activities.
  • Skill in reviewing and storing maintenance records, with the ability to identify and remediate discrepancies.
  • Ability to provide remote incident management resolution for airport critical equipment.
  • Experience with remote installation, configuration, and operational support.
  • Strict adherence to change control activities and processes.
  • Strong ability to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints.
  • Flexibility to support operations with varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call requirements.
