Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Pharmacy Data Entry & Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, your daily contributions will directly impact patient care and operational efficiency. Your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Patient Enrollment and Data Entry: Process new patient enrollments using arenaflex data entry protocols, ensuring all information is accurately entered into the appropriate systems. You will handle prescription requests in compliance with HIPAA regulations and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Third-Party Resolution: Investigate and resolve third-party exceptions by reviewing, gathering necessary information, making corrections, and resubmitting claims according to individual plan requirements. This may include making outbound calls to insurers and other parties to obtain missing data or secure override approvals.
  • Customer Communication: Manage inbound and outbound communications via phone, chat, and email with patients, prescribers, and insurance representatives. Respond to high-volume customer inquiries professionally and efficiently while working under direct supervision.
  • Prescription Verification: Utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and medication information, interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes), and investigate missing prescription details to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Pharmacist Support: Provide administrative and operational support to pharmacists, both on-site and in remote locations. Identify and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Policy Compliance: Adhere to standard operating procedures and perform all duties in alignment with arenaflex policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines.
  • License Maintenance: Obtain an active professional license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain an active status throughout your tenure with arenaflex.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to start and shut down a computer, use a mouse to point and click, launch and close programs, switch between applications, save files, print reports, and access information online.
  • Web Navigation: Fundamental internet search skills, including opening a browser, entering URLs correctly, using search engines, bookmarking websites, and navigating back, forward, and stop buttons.
  • Keyboarding Proficiency: Intermediate typing skills of at least 25 words per minute (WPM), with the ability to type by memory and format documents.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Legal Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who bring the following experience and skills will be given priority consideration:

  • Pharmacy Technician Experience: At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • Advanced Certification: Eighteen months or more of experience as a pharmacy technician with certification or registration from a state Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized accrediting organization.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrated experience providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients, with a track record of meeting quality standards and contributing to customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Advanced Keyboarding: Intermediate to advanced typing skills of at least 35 WPM, with strong document formatting capabilities.
  • Bilingual Ability: Fluency in both Spanish and English is highly desirable and will be considered a significant asset.
