Position Overview: Senior IT Business Analyst - Critical Infrastructure & Facilities Management

We're seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst with expertise in critical infrastructure and facilities management to support our IT Facilities team. In this role, you'll provide IT administration of professional services, project management, and support to ensure the operational sustainability of the critical infrastructure that supports our airport communication spaces. This position offers competitive compensation at $26/hour with full-time benefits and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior IT Business Analyst at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • IT Infrastructure Administration: Managing all site implementations, inventories, system planning, monitoring, and preventive maintenance for break/fix services for critical infrastructure including data centers, IT certification labs, and remote communication room environment equipment
  • Lab Support Coordination: Providing IT support to our laboratories by aligning with application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications
  • Remote Coordination: Coordinating remotely with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure maintenance and break/fix activities at remote communication rooms
  • Facility Operations Management: Managing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring all critical facilities infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment
  • Standards Development: Developing data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure
  • Network Infrastructure: Supporting IT facilities campus fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the Atlanta airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring
  • Policy Development: Recommending and implementing departmental policy, rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulations
  • Project Management: Managing data center and remote communication room standards capital enhancements, upgrades, and improvements
  • Vendor Management: Selecting IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining best prices for products and services, and ensuring vendors meet their contractual obligations
  • Incident Management: Providing proactive and break/fix support for ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment
  • Systems Integration: Overseeing the design, implementation, and vendor support of appropriate electrical power, A/C, fire suppression, security, floor maintenance, and cabling programs for communication rooms
  • Capacity Planning: Managing space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity to support growing infrastructure needs
  • Corporate Land Support: Supporting corporate land projects that involve remote communication room design/work as an IT facilities representative and on-site assessment reporting
  • Life Cycle Management: Managing capital planning and project management for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement
  • Emergency Response: Providing remote incident management resolution to airport critical equipment
  • Implementation Support: Providing remote installation, configuration, and operational support for critical systems
  • Change Control: Maintaining strict adherence to change control activities
  • Priority Management: Balancing multiple priorities within established time constraints
  • Communication: Building and maintaining effective communication and relationships with the supervisory team, vendors, and colleagues
  • Safety Commitment: Consistently prioritizing the safety and security of self, others, and company data
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Embracing diverse individuals, thinking, and styles

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure
  • Project Management: Proven experience with project management of remote communication room standards capital upgrades, renovations, and improvements
  • Critical Systems Management: Experience with capital planning and project management for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement
  • Facilities Coordination: Support for corporate land projects that involve remote communication room design/work as an IT facilities representative
  • Infrastructure Planning: Space, UPS Power, and critical cooling capacity management experience
  • Vendor Relations: Experience selecting critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining best prices, and ensuring vendor compliance
  • Technical Support: Ability to provide proactive and break/fix support for systems related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data centers
  • System Implementation: Experience with remote installation, configuration, and operational support of critical systems
  • Emergency Management: Ability to provide remote incident management resolution to airport critical equipment
  • Documentation: Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to maintain technical documentation
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints
  • Flexibility: Ability to support operations with varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call for emergency requirements
  • Safety Awareness: Consistent focus on safety and security of self, others, and company data
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Five or more years of relevant experience in IT facilities management, data center operations, or critical infrastructure management
  • Project Management: Three or more years of IT project management experience within a high-availability communication room and/or data center operating environment
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in data center management, ITIL, project management (PMP), or facilities management are highly desirable
  • Airport Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with airport infrastructure and operations is a plus
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing relationships with critical infrastructure vendors and service providers
