Position Overview

We are hiring Sports Statistics Analyst I professionals for part-time and full-time remote positions. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing, verifying, and maintaining real-time sports data that powers arenaflex platforms around the world. This includes scores, schedules, standings, rosters, and a wide range of game-related statistics. You will work with automated digital data feeds as well as manual entry methods to ensure that our audience always receives accurate, timely, and insightful sports information.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all sports data distributed by the Data and Information team is accurate, timely, and insightful across all platforms.
• Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to deliver precise real-time scores, clock-and-score updates, play-by-play breakdowns, and other critical statistics that power arenaflex products and productions.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of how Data and Information fuels arenaflex digital products, fantasy platforms, and television productions.
• Verify the accuracy of your own work and that of your teammates, consistently performing with an exceptional level of attention to detail.
• Contribute to special projects, production initiatives, and cross-departmental efforts that enhance the overall quality of our newsroom output.
• Support newsroom leaders who coordinate full-time and part-time staff, helping to mentor and guide newer team members.
• Anticipate potential issues — both in the moment and over the long term — and proactively propose solutions, communicating clearly and confidently with colleagues.
• Take an active role in refining and improving production processes, suggesting efficiencies and innovations wherever possible.
• Participate actively in team meetings, office discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
• Seek and respond constructively to performance feedback, showing a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Stay current on all departmental policies, procedures, and best practices.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

• Working knowledge of teams, players, and rules across major sports — including but not limited to football, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, and college athletics.
• Full schedule availability, including evenings (overnight shifts), weekends, and holidays. This position is not a traditional 9-to-5 — it is built around the live sports calendar.
• Ability to quickly learn production processes that generate and maintain sports data powering both digital and television products.
• High level of content accuracy in time-sensitive, high-pressure production environments.
