Virtual Speech-Language Interpreter (Full-Time) Pennsylvania

Position Title: Virtual Speech-Language Interpreter Location: Pennsylvania (Fully Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Position Schedule: 37.540 Hours per week Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Virtual Speech-Language Interpreter to provide remote interpretation services for students and educational teams across Pennsylvania. This full-time opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about facilitating communication, supporting student success, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a virtual environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have experience supporting students within educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual interpretation services during instructional sessions, evaluations, meetings, and school-related activities
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between students, families, educators, and service providers
• Support student access to educational content, services, and accommodations
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to ensure communication needs are met
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines
• Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records as required
• Utilize telepractice and virtual communication platforms effectively
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in ASL or Education Interpreting
• EIPA Score of 3.5 or high and written test
• Relevant interpreter certification, licensure, or credentials
• Previous experience providing interpretation services in educational settings preferred
• Experience working remotely or through virtual service delivery platforms preferred
• Strong verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with educational terminology and school-based services preferred
• Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup required

Preferred Experience

• K12 school-based interpretation experience
• Virtual interpretation or telepractice experience
• Experience supporting special education teams and related services
• Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and other virtual platforms
• Experience working with diverse student populations
