Chapman Management Group Leasing Assistant (Latin America) Location: Remote – Independent Contractor Compensation: $5.00 USD/hour Independent Contractor Notice: This is an independent contractor engagement. The selected candidate will be engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of Chapman Management Group. Chapman Management Group (CMG), a Washington, DC-based boutique property management firm specializing in affordable and multifamily housing across the DC, Virginia, and Maryland region, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Latin America-based Leasing Assistant to support leasing operations remotely. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for prospective and current residents, managing leads, supporting the application process, and helping ensure a smooth and professional leasing experience.

Key Responsibilities

Generate and manage prospective resident leads. Follow up with all prospective residents via phone, email, or text daily and as quickly as possible. Convert prospective phone, email, or text leads to scheduled appointments. Qualify prospective residents. Assist with prospective resident applications. Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospective resident leads by entering applicable information into the property management system. Provide assistance to current residents and update communication in their resident file daily. Complete weekly leasing reports in an accurate and timely fashion. Stay engaged and maintain current knowledge of competing communities through regular research and market monitoring. Participate in corporate outreach and other marketing programs. Enter resident service requests into the system, conduct follow-up, and close tickets. Assist with planning and implementing resident activities to increase resident retention. Support ongoing resident relations throughout the occupant's tenancy by ensuring requests are responded to promptly and accurately. Comply with all company policies, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Fluent in English (written and spoken) — required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. High school diploma required. Minimum one year of previous sales or customer service experience preferred. One year of previous residential leasing experience preferred.LIHTC experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Experience with property management software (Entrata or equivalent) preferred. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency. Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately. Ability to cope with and professionally defuse situations involving difficult or frustrated residents. Required to complete and successfully pass the Chapman Management Fair Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion training within the first 30 days of onboarding.
