Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate at arenaflex, you will deliver evidence-based primary and family care services that improve patient health outcomes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive primary and family healthcare, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Delivering health counseling, preventive education, and personalized wellness planning tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Conducting thorough patient consultations that emphasize healthy lifestyle choices, preventive care, and shared decision-making.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of injuries and illnesses.
  • Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care across the patient’s healthcare journey.
  • Performing administrative and operational duties such as opening and closing the clinic, managing inventory, overseeing patient flow, verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, and maintaining a clean, welcoming clinical environment.
  • Administering and managing vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, tuberculosis, and Depo-Provera), along with providing evidence-based patient and parent education on immunizations.
  • Educating patients on pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices.
  • Encouraging patients to become active participants in their healthcare through services such as health screenings, behavioral health support, wellness coaching, and chronic condition management programs.

Required Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program completion with current National Board Certification and an active state license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
  • Alternatively, in select states, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or another health-related Master’s degree with equivalent experience) combined with a Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, along with current National Board Certification and an active state license to practice.
  • A minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
  • Depending on the market, the ability to speak and write in additional languages, such as Spanish, is highly desirable.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including the ability to perform CPR and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Successful completion of a FIT (respirator fit) test and the ability to wear a provided respirator mask when protocol requires.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Less than one year of work experience as a licensed provider, with prior student precepting experience at arenaflex preferred but not required.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms, virtual patient engagement, and remote care delivery models.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience in retail, urgent care, or community health settings.
