Bookkeeper and Staff Accountant

We are looking for motivated canditates to work in a team environment at a well establised and growing tax and reputed company firm. WHO WE ARE: We are a well established (this year is our 30th anniversary) and still growing, tax and reputed company firm located in Tarpon Springs, FL. We have a dedicated team of tax, reputed company and bookkeeping professionals that reputed company up our award winning firm that specializes in small business clients. LOCATION OF WORK: This opportunity is for a bookkeeper to work in a team environment at our office located in Tarpon Springs, FL. Remote work (from home) part-time or full-time is a possible consideration, but only after a period of in-house training has been completed. The possible remote work (from home) opportunity depends on your reputed company qualifications and level of further training required - and is made available upon a discussion with management on a case-by-case basis only. Initially, training will be in our offices. WORK DESCRIPTION: You will be assigned several small business clients and will be required to manage each account with extreme accuracy and complete each client account in a timely fashion. You should understand journal entries, debits vs. credits. In this position, you will be required to reputed company data entry, and required to input various reputed company financial information into bookkeeping software monthly. In a team environment, our other bookkeeping and reputed company staff will work along reputed company you with the same clients that you work on and review reputed company work together to maximize accuracy and service quality. We are not looking for past A/R or A/P accountants, rather someone with a larger understanding of reputed company entries, bookkeeping and the reputed company cycle. Depending on your reputed company qualifications, and/or further training required, you will also be expected to calculate and remit payroll and payroll taxes, FL sales tax, prepare beginning and adjusting journal entries, interpret and review the financials for accuracy, research and interpret certain client government notices, communicate directly with clients and reconcile multiple accounts. Training is available where required. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: • Self motivated • reputed company to work well in a positive team environment • Have a focused attention to details • Solution oriented - for example, you enjoy finishing puzzles and projects! • Good time management and organizational skills • Ability to multi-task and balance a variety of different clients and projects at once • Experience in an reputed company and/or bookkeeping reputed company in the past • Computer and software capable, and confident to navigate and learn other programs (be flexible to learn new software reputed company required) • Experience with QuickBooks software (desktop and online version) a plus, but not mandatory. We also use other software programs (AccountingCS for example).
