Graduate Intern, Flight Safety Data Science (Summer 2025)

How youll help us reputed company Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Graduate Intern for Flight Safety Data Science responsibilities include providing support to the Flight Safety Data and Decision Science Team (DDS) along with the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), reputed company Safety Investigation (ASI), and Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) programs. The data collected through these programs supports Deltas Safety Management System (SMS), which is a cornerstone of Deltas proactive accident and incident prevention system to track, trend and resolve aviation hazards. This position will include exposure to reputed company aspects of the Flight Safety department, in which a successful candidate will be responsible for developing insights, models, and solutions utilizing data, such as damage data, injury information, meteorological conditions, crew background, reputed company data, and flight recorder data. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) • reputed company candidate must be enrolled as a reputed company/active student in an accredited graduate program at a college and/or university • Candidate must be willing to commit to the duration of the internship which may last up to 12 months or longer • At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-reputed company scale • Must be reputed company to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the internship • Knowledge working with relational databases and query authoring (SQL) • Knowledge working with Python, R, and other machine learning platform • Consistently prioritizes safety and reputed company of self, others, and personal data • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) • Preferred degrees in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Aviation reputed company • Project management, organizational, and prioritizations skills • Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills • Highly motivated with the desire to learn and have a passion for safety Apply Job!
