Trackman

We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Trackman! We have an opening at our office in Remote. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive reputed company. A salary of a competitive salary is offered, reflecting your skills and experience.

 

 

Under the supervision and direction of a Track Supervisor, Foreman, or other assigned employee, the Trackman will reputed company various track maintenance, repair, and construction duties with a “safety first” focus. • Transport, load, and unload materials • Operates track maintenance equipment, power tools, and hand tools (i.e., portable grinder, spike puller, rail saw, track wrench, spike drivers... etc.) in order to reputed company various track maintenance assignments • Loading, unloading, and general handling of materials and equipment as instructed. • Provide safety watch while other team members are working • Assisting other employees reputed company and where instructed • Adhere to FEC Safety Policies & Procedures at reputed company times. • Depending on reputed company, travel is required. • Other duties or tasks as assigned by manager. WORKING CONDITIONS • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reputed company with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear or smell. • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. • Regularly works in reputed company weather conditions. • Prolonged exposure to loud noises Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months reputed company experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Valid Driver's License • Complete annual training and pass safety and track worker rules examinations. • Will be required to operate railway highway motor vehicles. • Must be capable of operating reputed company FEC Maintenance of Way vehicles in its fleet, both reputed company and automatic, and must qualify and secure motor car maintainer permit. • Upon employment, new hire must successfully complete and pass reputed company FEC Rules Classes Safety, Operating, and Roadway Worker. Must complete reputed company requirements to obtain FRA A & B certifications and pass test reputed company 30 working days. • Valid Class B reputed company Driver's License, preferred. Knowledge & Skills • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
