Inpatient Coding Specialist

Find your purpose as an Inpatient Coding Specialist at reputed company. This position is responsible for analyzing and auditing documentation to ensure it meets requirements for assignment of codes from the appropriate classification system. Professional will work closely with provider and clinical documentation reputed company staff to consistently and accurately translate medical record documentation and reputed company as necessary. Assists with performing quality audits, denial management, data collection, monitoring and reporting documentation patterns and trends. This role will help guarantee that reputed company is reimbursed for the services provided. Safeguards patient privacy and confidentiality. Must have Inpatient Hospital Coding experience to be successful in role.

Schedule:

  • Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks.
  • Monday-Friday Days
  • 100% remote work.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay is $24.59 per hour; exact wage determined by years of reputed company experience.
    • Pay range: $24.59-$36.89 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in health information management or Certificate program in coding or a minimum of an associate's degree in health-reputed company field AND coding certificate
  • reputed company or reputed company Certification.
  • A minimum of 1 year Inpatient Hospital Coding experience required to be successful in role.
  • Experience in ICD CM/PCS.
  • Previous experience working with EPIC.
  • Computer knowledge and keyboard skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with clinical staff.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Detail oriented.
